Due to the ongoing blockade and relentless cycles of conflict, daily life remains extremely challenging for many Palestinians in Gaza.

With its dense population of 1.6 million people and limited access to livelihoods, 38% of Gazans live in dire poverty and over 50% are food insecure. There is also a critical water shortage with 90% of the water from Gaza’s aquifer being undrinkable, which is causing widespread illness and poor health.

SKT Welfare is committed to our ongoing projects in Gaza, focusing on helping to alleviate food insecurity and facilitating access to clean water.

Safe Water

To date, we have delivered two water desalination plants in Gaza, with each plant producing 50,000 litres of fresh water daily for half a million impoverished people who previously had to travel several miles to collect safe water.

No one should have to live without access to clean water, so please continue supporting this life-saving and life-sustaining cause.

Food Parcels

Since the 2014 conflict in Gaza, SKT Welfare volunteers have hand-delivered thousands of parcels in the Palestinian town of Khuza’a, which was hard-hit by the conflict and where there is a population of 10,000 people.

With 1.3 million people on the Gaza Strip food insecure, we are committed to helping to alleviate this situation for Palestinian people. Over 5000 people have benefitted from the SKT Welfare bread project and 23,750 are direct benficiaries of our food programme.

Please support our food distribution project in Gaza today.

Winterisation

Many Palestinians struggle to survive the winter in sub-standard accommodation, with no heating or running water, and most areas face power cuts of up to 12 hours a day.

Our teams work tirelessly, delivering winter kits during the bitter, cold months, but it is only due to your continued support and generous donations that SKT Welfare can carry on its much-needed work in winter. Nearly 3000 school children have benefitted from this programme.
