Bring Warmth, Hope, and Life This Winter
As the bitter cold sets in, millions around the world face a harsh and unforgiving winter. For many, this season is not just an inconvenience but a life-threatening reality. Families who have already lost so much—displaced by conflict, natural disasters, and poverty—are now at the mercy of freezing temperatures.
They huddle together in makeshift shelters, with little more than thin blankets to keep the cold at bay.
Imagine your home without heat, your children without warm clothes, your family without enough food to make it through the day.
This is the reality of millions. Children, the elderly, and families, all shivering through the night, on an empty stomach.
But it doesn’t have to be. With your help, SKT’s winter emergency response will ensure those in need receive warmth, protection and safety throughout the devastating winter months. We will be distributing blankets, hygiene kits, food parcels, heaters. We will also be building homes – Safe Havens – for those in Syria who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict.

In Yemen, most of the year is dry and hot, which makes the sudden onset of harsh, freezing winters even more dangerous. Temperatures fall below freezing alongside expected heavy rains that will likely lead to flooding and yet more structural damage, pushing already strained communities to breaking point. Yemen has been facing years of conflict, and over a million people are starving. Winter is a brutal enemy for the people of Yemen, and they will fight to survive. You can help protect them.
During the winter, people in Syria face freezing temperatures, with little or no protection. Decades of conflict has led thousands of families live in makeshift shelters and slums, many still living in the rubble of their destroyed homes. This makes winter almost impossible to survive. Winter leaves people extremely vulnerable, and with many having little to no access to vital fuel for cooking and keeping warm; they are in danger of falling seriously ill.
We want to protect those in need by building Safe Havens – secure homes that offer protection and warmth. You can build a home for £3,000, and also distribute warm, winter aid that will help them stay warm and survive.
29.5% of all Pakistanis live below the poverty line. Everyday life is a struggle; but the freezing winter nights are life-threatening. While Pakistan is known for it’s warm summers, the winter months are brutal. Temperatures fall well below zero and parts of the country face heavy snow and rain. For those living in poverty, winter is a huge struggle and many fear they will not survive.
One-third of Palestinians were living in terrible conditions even before the horrific escalation in conflict we all witnessed earlier this year.
Now, over 2 million residents of Gaza have been plunged into abject poverty. Winter in Palestine brings plummeting temperatures, heavy rains and flooding. Vulnerable families will be unable to keep out of the cold.
