Thirteen years after the civil war in Syria, the people of Syria continue to face the relentless devastation of the war, with no end in sight. Millions have been displaced, nearly 90% of the Syrian population lives below the poverty line and an entire generation of children is growing up in street camps and shelters, knowing only conflict and its aftermath.
The facts:
14.6 million people in Syria need humanitarian assistance
6.9 million internally displaced people in Syria
Nearly 90% of the Syrian population live below the poverty line
7 million children are in urgent need of support
Though the civil war is over, the aftermaths of the war remain and have caused the worst refugee crisis of our generation. Currently, there are over 6.2 million internally displaced people including 2.5 million children - and 6.7 million refugees, who have fled to neighbouring countries. Millions of people don’t have access to clean water, and the medical infrastructure is on the brink of collapse, with more than half of hospitals and healthcare facilities damaged or destroyed.
With so much destruction, please support our emergency fund or donate to any specific project below.
Located in Northern Syria, near Aleppo, our Hospital serves nearly one million people across 13 towns and 110 villages. Headed by a dedicated team of surgeons, it comprises an Emergency Room, ICU unit, fully equipped operating theatre, X-Ray and ultrasound room, sterilisation room, pharmacy, laboratory and washroom, as well as a clinic for minor injuries.
Our bakery, located in Idlib, is a lifeline for thousands of Syrian people.
Every day, we bake and distribute bread to hundreds of families struggling to survive in over 23 local refugee camps. So far we’ve fed over 10 million people and we reach around 10,500 people every single day.
After 10 years of conflict in Shaam, millions have fled their homes with nothing, seeking refuge in camps made of fragile tarpaulin and cloth that fail to protect against harsh weather.
Together we are moving the displaced out of makeshift tents and into secure homes, providing warmth and safety through winter and beyond.
Years of conflict have torn apart Syria’s economy, leaving many families unable to afford even the most basic essentials. Millions are struggling just to put food on the table, and unable to provide their loved ones with a nutritious, balanced diet.
By providing an Emergency month-long food Parcel, you can shield the most vulnerable from the dire consequences of hunger and malnutrition.
Our parcels include essential staples like cooking oil, rice, chickpeas, spaghetti, beans, tin tomato, spices, sugar, and more.
Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
"A Muslim shall never leave another Muslim helpless in the time of need."
