Thank you for your donations so far, I am humbled by your generous hearts. 

I am planning to travel to the Turkish / Syrian border in the last week of October to volunteer and provide essential aid. In shaa Allaah.

Since the Syria conflict began in 2011, over 3.5 million Syrian refugees have fled into Turkey and the numbers continue to rise.

Many Syrian refugee families in Turkey left their homes wearing nothing but the clothes on their backs and are in desperate need of support. Many have experienced unparalleled levels of trauma and continue to experience tremendous grief and alienation, while thousands of refugee children are out of school.

Our projects in Turkey address both short and long term needs of refugees struggling to settle and move forwards with their lives.

So What's the plan!!

Several times a year, SKT Welfare takes groups of volunteers to Turkey to work with Syrian refugees, delivering food packs to homes, schools and orphan care facilities. This once in a lifetime experience allows you to spend time with our beneficiaries and see, first-hand, the real, tangible difference that humanitarian aid delivery can make. Each food parcel costs £50 and last the average family 4 a month. Alhamdulillah.

Please donate as generously as your personal circumstances allow. All donations will be gratefully accepted and only used to serve the purpose of food parcels. 

Please note - each volunteer covers their own flights, accommodation and food costs, etc.
