Our Water appeal is a Palestine charity that provides fresh, clean water for Gaza. With rampant water shortages and accessible water from Gaza’s aquifer being thoroughly contaminated with waste, seawater and chemicals, there is widespread illness and poor health throughout the city.
Many suffer from waterborne diseases such as diarrhoea, typhoid and gastroenteritis because they have no choice but to drink the contaminated water. Over 12% of child deaths in Gaza can be attributed to this diseased water.
No one should have to worry over whether their next glass of water will make them ill. No one should have to live without access to clean water. £3,000 can provide 28,500 litres of safe, clean drinking water for Gaza for one day.
