SKT Welfare are building the Abu Bakr Siddique Quran School in Reyhnali, Turkey.
This project will provide excellent Quran and Hifz education to almost 3,000 children, mainly Syrian refugees who have fled war and persecution.
This project will be a purpose-built school comprising state-of-the-art classrooms designed to further enhance the learning, memorisation and teaching of the Holy Quran and Islam.
The school will be situated in Reyhanli, Turkey, on the border with Syria adjacent to SKT Welfare’s Springs of Hope, Family Centre where approximately 150 Syrian orphans and widows reside.
This school will provide an excellent Islamic education primarily in mastering recitation and memorisation of the Quran al-Kareem to nearly 3,000 Syrian children, including orphans. The structured curriculum will be taught by a dedicated team of expert scholars who are masters of recitation and the beautiful Arabic language.
The multiple courses aim to produce Quran teachers, Islamic scholars and 100s of Quran Hafiz insha’Allah.

The continuation of the traditional Islamic sciences will provide a solid foundation to the displaced Syrian children who have suffered so immensely under extreme circumstances. For Syrian refugee children, this will be their only opportunity to study Arabic, which is an integral part of their own identity and heritage.
