What We Do

Extreme violence in the Rakhine state of Myanmar led to over 500,000 locals fleeing, with the majority ending up in Bangladesh.

Arriving exhausted and traumatised, in camps and settlements that are already overcrowded; many of them — primarily Rohingya women and children — are exposed to further hardship as they have no access to adequate shelter, medical care, water and food.

FOOD

SKT Welfare has delivered over 5700 food parcels to the displaced Rohingya in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh; each parcel weighing circa 26.5kg and comprising items like rice, potatoes, onions, vermicelli, lentils, sugar, salt and oil.

The charity plans on upscaling its food aid in this area over the upcoming months and launched the Countless Salaam book in November 2017; with all proceeds going towards food parcel distribution in Bangladesh.
